The Applause Card is a bit of business which cues the audience to clap at that moment when they forget to do so due to amazement. It does its job in a magical manner which never fails to bring smile to the audience.
EFFECT: Suppose you have just finished a wonderful magic and your audience forgets to applaud due to amazement. Look at your audience with surprise and then bring out a placard where it is boldly written “Applause Please”. The intelligent audience will immediately understand that they forgot to do so. So they start clapping but may not be that loud. You immediately turn it over to show that there it is boldly written “Louder”. The audience would obviously clap louder and you take a bow. You then turn it over once again and with amazement the audience finds that the writing “Applause Please” has changed to “That’s Enough” as if by magic. This change never fails to make them laugh.
